I need major help with choosing a camera?
Just some FYI i am a new photographer just becoming familiar with the fundamentals of cameras.
- The area of photography im interested in is fashion photography. I want to do more black and white photos and id rather play with outside lighting rather than rely on the camera flash. But i would still like to take photos with artifical lighting.
1. Which camera do i purchase. I was thinking a Nikon D80, or a Nikon D60.
2. Which lenses would be appropiate for capturing the whole body and shoulders up?
The standard 18-55 mm lens can capture from full body to head and shoulders. (I used the 24-85 mm at one time and it is an amazing lens for what it costs)
The D80 will give you more lenses to choose from, any Nikkor AF, AF-I or AF-S lenses ... even some of the older AI lenses if you don't mind manually focusing the lens. The D60 is an entry level camera and thus uses only the much newer AF-S lenses
Both are fine cameras and can both do what you want.
